Pilot privacy notice
Scope and contact
This notice describes the invitation-only Trickshot League pilot. Contact the organizer through the private contact form for access, correction, withdrawal or deletion requests. Your message is not published, but the contact form is not anonymous.
Information processed
- Accounts: email address, account identifier and authentication/session information.
- Participant approval: a stable participant identifier, approval/suspension status, verification time and an opaque reference to the organizer's verification record. The organizer must not put raw identity documents into this record.
- Entries: video, shot title, upload path, round identifier, status, timestamps and accepted rules version.
- Voting and moderation: chosen entry, participant/account identifiers, vote timestamp, moderation reasons and organizer audit records.
- Contact requests: email address, optional name, topic and message.
- Service/security data: hosting, authentication and bot-protection providers may process network/device information and operational logs when delivering and protecting their services.
Why and where information is used
Information is used to sign people in, check pilot eligibility and duplicate participation, store and review videos, record votes, show approved entries/results, investigate abuse and respond to requests. The pilot does not sign people up for a marketing mailing list.
Supabase handles authentication, application records and videos. Netlify hosts the site and receives contact-form submissions. Cloudflare Turnstile checks sign-in traffic for automated abuse. The site loads a Supabase browser library from jsDelivr. These providers may process information in locations outside a participant's home jurisdiction according to their arrangements. No promise of storage solely in one country is made.
The browser stores authentication session information to keep an account signed in. Sign out when using a shared device. The site does not use browser-local demo votes as real contest votes.
Who can see what
Approved videos, shot titles, published round details and result notes are public. Do not include private information in a title or video. Account emails, participant verification references, individual vote records and contact messages are not displayed publicly by the application. Authorized organizers and relevant service providers can access information needed for their roles. The organizer must keep access limited and protect the associated accounts.
Retention and deletion practice
The organizer will review and remove abandoned upload files after 7 days. Pilot videos, entries, votes and moderation records will be reviewed for deletion within 90 days after the relevant round closes. Contact messages will be reviewed for deletion within 90 days after the request is resolved. Pilot-only accounts and participant records will be reviewed for deletion within 90 days after the overall pilot ends, unless the participant separately agrees to continue.
Only information needed for a specific unresolved abuse report, dispute or applicable obligation will be retained beyond those periods, and it will be reviewed when that reason ends. Provider logs and backups follow the relevant provider's retention processes. Removal from the live site does not necessarily remove existing provider backups or copies made by viewers immediately.
These reviews and deletions are handled manually by the organizer; they are not automatic.
Requests and limits
Use the contact form to ask for a copy, correction or deletion of your information. The organizer may verify account ownership and explain any information temporarily retained for an unresolved issue. Do not send passwords, payment information or identity documents through the form. No specific legal right is waived by these pilot terms.
Changes
Publish an updated version and date when these terms materially change. Explain the changes to existing pilot testers before applying new uses of their information. A future cash-prize contest needs a separately prepared and reviewed rules/privacy package.
